HG, Elkhart compete in Crusader Challenge

Lutheran won the 22-team boys meet with 86 points. HG took 14th with 301 and EL-G was 20th at 553.

Random Lake/Ozaukee earned first in the 16-team girls meet with 55 points. RL/Ozaukee was led by senior Elise Large who captured first in 19 minutes, 45.76 seconds over 3.1 miles.

The Tigers finished 15th in the girls competition with 332. Elkhart had an incomplete squad.

Senior Sam Sixel of HG was the top runner among the the Tiger and Resorter teams as he placed 24th in the boys race with a time of 18:28.05 on the 3.1-mile course.

“Sam Sixel and Carson Moore each ran career-best times, with Sam even earning a place as a meet medalist,” said Tiger head coach Gary Kalk.
