The show will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28 in the PHS Amphitheatre, 125 Highland Ave. General admission is free.

Team members - or “actletes” - will play improvisational games and spontaneously create comedic scenes and skits. Audience participation is highly encouraged and an integral part of each show.

This September show is a recruiting show and provides an opportunity for veteran members to show potential players what they do, said PHS English teacher Janet DeJean Newton, who advises the team.

New players have until the end of October to decide if they would like to register to be part of the Milwaukee ComedySportz High School League and a member of the PHS Jolly Pranksters. The team will per- form three more shows at PHS on Jan. 4, April 19 and May 17.

Returning players include:

· Seniors: Paul Hammes, Dillon Nemitz, Justin Schmitz, Mady Straub, Quinn Zwick

· Juniors: Mitch Arnold, Ana Hyer, Adam Dwyer

· Sophomores: Michael Krusiec, Elizabeth Riley, Cami Schroeder, Andrew Van Norwick, Kevin Weisensel

New players hoping to join the team for the 2017-18 season are senior Adam Hollister; sophomore Brynn Wiltzius, and freshmen Robbie Grimes, Isabella Hoyt, Josh Harms, Tristin Kesick, Ty Sanders, Olivia Straub, Vaughn Zwick, and Zoe Zwick.

This is the 12th year the team has competed in the ComedySportz High School League. PHS won the championship in 2009 and 2014 and advanced to the championship round in 2015 and 2016.
