PHS defeated Appleton West and Kaukauna by 5-2 scores and Ripon, 6-1.

Three Panthers posted 3-0 records in the event for singles play – Amanda Krueger at No. 2, Ashley Batzner, No. 3 and Elizabeth Krueger at No. 3. Elizabeth Krueger was brought up from the junior varsity because starter Katie Benedict was unavailable. Alayna Wildman earned Plymouth’s other singles win.

Plymouth’s Nos. 1 and 2 doubles teams chalked up 3-0 marks. The No. 1 duo was Kayla Prahl and Kaylee Woelfel, and the No. 2 team was Ellie Potrykus and Savannah Wiese.

“It was a long day in very hot conditions and in the past they have tired out in their third matches and struggled. Today they went about their business and finished strong to take home the title,” said Panther head coach Scott Milslagle.

“A big win for us against a quality Division 1 team [Appleton West] from a quality conference. Our No. 1 doubles team played perhaps their best match of the season in beating a West team [7-5, 6-0] that was 4-1 in their conference on the season.”
