PHS breezes to JV soccer win

Johanna Schmidt and Kim Luenstaedt scored two goals each to propel Plymouth to a 7-0 rout over host Waupun in junior varsity girls soccer Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers upped their Eastern Wisconsin Conference record to 3-0-1 (5-2-3 overall). Alla Georg, Kyle Birenbaum and Sarah Ruby added one goal apiece.

Emma Roy had a team-high three assists and Luenstaedt contributed one. PHS goalkeepers Ali Thompson and Emily Vorpagel combined for the shutout.

Sarah Gamoke and Ruby scored two goals each to lead the Panthers to a 10-0 thumping of visiting Kewaskum April 15 in EWC action.

Valerie Liebmann, Melanie Oostdyk, Schmidt, Maggie Paese, Birenbaum and Isabel Roy scored one goal apiece. Gamoke had a team-high two assists and Rachel Francis and Paese, one each.

PHS defeated EWC foe Campbellsport, 6-0, on April 27. Scoring one goal each were Georg, Oostdyk, Birenbaum, Gamoke, Luenstaedt and Vorpagel.

Gamoke and Ruby led in assists with two each. In other recent games, PHS tied Sheboygan Falls, 0-0, and Slinger, 0-0.
