Plymouth Police Report – May 10

A 29-year-old Plymouth male was taken into protective custody by the Sheboygan County Tactical Unit after they forced entry into the man’s residence in the 200 block of East Mill Street.

According to Plymouth’s Deputy Chief of Police Christopher Ringel, the incident occurred after the Plymouth Police Department received a request to check on the man’s welfare at about 11:10 p.m. May 8. Apparently the man had made statements that he was going to harm himself or others. Officers also learned that the man may be in possession of firearms. Officers attempted to initiate contact with the man, but he would not cooperate with law enforcement. The Sheboygan County Tactical Unit was then called to assist.

The tactical unit also made several attempts to gain the man’s cooperation and determine his well-being – with no success. After forcing entry into his residence, he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the hospital for psychological evaluation.

Due to the on-going investigation, police were not able to release the individual’s name.
