The Panthers hiked their ECC record to 4-1 (8-3-1 overall). PHS is in second place in the ECC, a half-game behind co-leaders Waupun and Kettle Moraine Lutheran (Jackson), both 5-1.

Joseph scored two goals in the first half and added another in the second half. Also scoring were Clayton Lautenschlaeger and Anthony Vargas with two goals each, and Garrison Pierce, Adam Smith and Nathan Francis with one apiece.

Brady Petrie had a team-high two assists. Pierce, Keegan Gafney, Smith, Eric Preissner and Joseph had one each.

“We played a good game today – creating many opportunities to score and controlling the ball during the entire game,” said PHS head coach Rommy Herrera.

“I am very proud of this team and how we have been playing lately.”

PHS dominated on the attack – holding a 24-2 edge in shots on goal. Panther goalie Matt Klug made one save and Cougar goalie James Carroll had 11.

The Cougars fell to 1-5 in the ECC (5-7 overall).
