Rautmann’s four goals key Tigers’ easy win

The Tigers raised their Big East Conference record to 6-1 (8- 4-3 overall). The Jets fell to 2-9-1 overall.

HG stormed to an 8-0 halftime lead. The Tigers scored four goals in the first 19 minutes, led by Rautmann with two.

Rozz Yost scored two goals for the Tigers. Mitchell McDaniel, Peter Grimm, Zach Ziegelbauer, Austin Bender and Ryan Splittgerber tallied one each. Bender’s goal was on a penalty kick. Grimm, McDaniel, Jack Baldwin, Yost and Bender had one assist each.

Tyler Bonin had the Jets’ goal.

HG led 17-9 in shots on goal. Tiger goalies Bender and Walker Lisowe made three and five saves, respectively.

“We played a complete team game today and did a very nice job possessing the ball,” said Tiger head coach Bob Peterson.

“We spread the field well which allowed us to attack from many areas with solid team passing.”
