Huskies roll, Kestell has four goals

LITTLE CHUTE – Senior midfielder Oren Kestell exploded for four goals to ignite the New Holstein/Elkhart Lake- Glenbeulah Huskies to a 7-2 pummeling of Little Chute in boys soccer action here Thursday afternoon.

The nonconference victory extended the Huskies’ winning streak to four and closed out their regular season. NH/EL-G, 9-10-1, will play at No. 5-seeded Wrightstown in the Division 3 regional semifinals Thursday at 4 p.m. The Huskies are seeded No. 12.

Also scoring for the Huskies were Noah Ruh with two goals and Kyle Lutzke with his first in varsity action. Ruh and Lutzke are seniors at EL-G.

Husky goalie Deegan Kossman made three saves.

“This season has been pretty good for us. We know we just need to make practice our top priority and be ready for a good Wrightstown team. It’s usually tough to play on the road but if you go into it with the proper skills and the right mindset anything is possible,” said Husky head coach Steve Conrad.
