PATRICK JAY McKINSTER

Patrick Jay McKinster, age 63, of Nekoosa, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Saturday, October 21, 2017 at home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Pat was born October 20, 1954 in Grafton, Wisconsin to Richard John and Lila Anne (Olson) McKinster. He grew up in Cascade, Wisconsin before moving to Big Flats in 1969. Pat joined the Navy in 1972 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked in Milwaukee and in Wisconsin Rapids at the Paper Mill.

Patrick took every opportunity to be on his Valkyrie and his new Can- Am Spider. He loved the peace of sitting in his deer stand and hunting, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his friends.

Patrick was an avid member of Abate of Wisconsin, the Disabled American Veterans. He was involved in many charity rides with Abate for local organizations including Angel Tree Fundraiser.

He was an amazing father, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He unconditionally loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and great-grandson. He always helped whoever needed it. He was a treasure to us all, and he will be missed deeply.

Memorials may be directed in Patrick’s memory to Adams-Marquette County Region 2J Chapter of Abate of Wisconsin.
