Honor and salute




Veterans Day was marked Friday at a number of ceremonies throughout the area. At Plymouth High School, the World’s Cheese Center Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5612 conducted the ceremony (cover, above and right). It included a Veterans Day presentation by public speaking students at the high school, performances by the high school band and choir, recognition of veterans and the rifle salute and playing of “Taps” to conclude the ceremony. Legion members from Post 261 in Greenbush and 243 in Plymouth for a ceremony at Rocky Knoll. The PHS choir performed several musical selections (below) and veterans at the facility were recognized with plaques (left) and special camo quilts recognizing their service.
