Theresa Irene Tracy, 85, formerly of Plymouth, passed away late Monday afternoon (November 13, 2017) at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls where she had been a resident for the past 5 years.

She was born on October 31, 1932 in the Town of Lyndon, daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Schmitt) Nytes. Theresa attended grade school in the Town of Lima and graduated from Waldo High School in 1950.

On April 25, 1953, she married Raburn Tracy at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in the Town of Lima (5 Corners). The couple lived for many years in Cascade, and moved to Plymouth in 1987. Raburn preceded her in death on May 16, 2000.

Theresa was employed for 16 years at Bemis in Sheboygan Falls, retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she served on the Christian Mother’s Society.

Her children were the love of her life, and she took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include: Two sons: Randall (Debra) Tracy of Plymouth and Tony Tracy of Lomira; One daughter: Tammy Reich of Sheboygan Falls; Five grandchildren: Steven (Jodi) Tracy of Plymouth, Stephanie Tracy of Sheboygan Falls, Holly Tracy of Sheboygan Falls, Abby Reich of Sheboygan Falls, and Sophia Tracy of Plymouth; Three great grandchildren: Sarita, Delano, and Isabella; Daughter in-law: Joan Hapka-Tracy of St. Louis, MO.

She is further survived by: Five sisters: Grace Gazetti of Holly, MI, Jeanette Kapp of Port Washington, Gladys Gazetti of TX, Barbara Kretschmann of Watertown, WI, and Kathryn (Roger) Winterberg of Sheboygan; Three brothers: Robert (Lueva) Nytes of Sheboygan Falls, Theodore (Sharon) Nytes of Plymouth, and Charles (Kathy) Nytes of Plymouth, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by: Her husband Raburn; Son: Robert Hapka-Tracy; Son-in-law: John Reich; Brother: Gilbert Nytes; and Sister: Ruth Kapellen.

Visitation will be held on Saturday November 18, 2017 from 3:30 – 5:30 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.

Private Family Services will be held. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will officiate. Cremation will take place following the services and inurnment will be in the St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.

The Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Plymouth is assisting the family.
