Last state road project done

Road construction season has finally come to an end in Sheboygan County for this year.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) northeast region office in Green Bay, general project cleanup and completing punch list items will be done this week by crews on the State 42 (Calumet Drive) reconstruction project in the city of Sheboygan.

The project included full reconstruction of State 42 (Calumet Drive) from Main Avenue to 26th Street, a total length of one-half mile, and pavement rehabilitation of State 42 from Mueller Road to Interstate 43, a total length of one mile.

It included earthwork and grading, water main, sanitary sewer and storm sewer, base aggregate, concrete pavement, concrete pavement repair, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, street lighting, traffic signals, landscaping, pavement markings, and sign replacement.
