Pearl Harbor remembrance set

The Plymouth Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post, 40 Stafford Street, will host a remembrance of the attack on US Naval Base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Thursday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. The event is open to the public.

The Pearl Harbor attack, which led to the United States entering World War II, took place on Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941.

Legion member Hal Seider of Oostburg will give a presentation on “Little known Facts about the Attack.” There will also be a special remembrance of Plymouth native Stuart “Bud” Sweeney, Pearl Harbor survivor who passed away earlier this year. Special guests will be Lana Theobald and Lynn Richter. Their father was aboard the USS West Virginia that was moored near the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor.
