Berlin rolls past Panthers in ECC dual

Gore won by a technical fall, 24-8. – Submitted photo BERLIN – The Berlin Indians chalked up six pins en route to a 47-27 rout over the Plymouth Panthers in an East Central Conference wrestling dual here Thursday night.

The Panthers slipped to 0-3 in ECC action (1-7 overall).

Scoring a pin for PHS was freshman Cameron Fohr at 126 pounds. Other big winners on the mat for the team were Jack Miller with a 14-4 major decision at 106 and Devin Gore with a 24-8 technical fall at 113.

“The highlight of the night was Cameron Fohr as reversed his opponent, taking him to his back and pinning him. This was Cameron’s best match of the year thus far,” said PHS head coach Rick Gruber.

“Overall, as a team we wres- tled flat and are hoping we can start turning things around in the new year.”

Winning for PHS in junior varsity action was Eli Sanborn.
