The loss dropped the Resorters’ BEC record to 1-2 (7-2 overall) and snapped their dual winning streak at seven.

The Resorters lost two matches by forfeit which gave the Rockets 12 points.

Elkhart had pins from Cody Rebedew at 126 pounds, Cody Nelson, 138 and Jon Roll at 285.

“We got beat by a team that wrestled better than we did tonight,” said Resorter head coach Larry Ward.

“We split the 12 matches wrestled, 6-6, but gave up more bonus points than what we earned. If we are going to make up the 12 points we forfeit we need to be the ones getting bo- nus points, not giving them up.

“For the most part, I am happy with the way our kids wrestled. Cody Rebedew, Cody Nelson and Jon Roll did what they needed to do and got their pins.

“Hopefully this loss will turn into a positive and make our kids work even harder in preparation for the second half of the season,” said Ward.
