Panthers coast to dual win over South

SHEBOYGAN – The Plymouth Panthers won eight of the 12 events as they cruised to a 121-61 win over host Sheboygan South in a boys swimming and diving meet Dec. 19.

The nonconference win upped the Panthers’ dual record to 4-2.

Christian Pieper and Ben Schaefers were double-winners to pace the Panthers. Pieper took first in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.28. Schaefers won the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.

“A good meet for the Panthers. Some quality times by the swimmers and continued good performances by our divers,” said Panther head coach Clare Sedlacek.

The Panthers’ 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays posted season-best times.

“We went 1-2-3 in the 200 freestyle, with a great swim by Ben Schaefers – going under 2:00 with a 1:58.89,” Sedlacek pointed out.

The Panthers cruised to a 56-15 win in the junior varsity meet.
