Great Marriages promotes Medrek

Jocelyn Medrek has been promoted to executive director of Great Marriages. According to Tom Rice, president of the Great Marriages Board of Directors, Jocelyn served as the director of operations for the past three years, and has been instrumental in managing the nonprofit for the past 18 months.

“I have a passion for our mission of keeping marriages healthy and families together. Having experienced divorce, remarriage and blending a family myself, I feel this is the exact right place for me to be as I can empathize with almost anyone who contacts us,” Medrek said. “I believe the breakdown of family in society is responsible for so many of the issues we are facing as a community. If we can keep moms and dads together in a healthy relationship, generations will be affected for years to come,” she added.

Great Marriages (www.great-marriages.org) was founded in 2005 by the late Terry J. Kohler.

“Jocelyn is extremely excited to continue helping our community in her new capacity by expanding services and reaching out to more couples,” Rice said.

“Isn’t life just a little more fun and fulfilling when going home is something you look forward to every day?” Medrek said.
