SCHRC appoints Rogstad

The Sheboygan County Historical Research Center, 518 Water Street, Sheboygan Falls, recently named Steven Rogstad director of development.

Steven began his new endeavor Jan. 3 and looks forward to county involvement promoting history and the Research Center. Steven’s duties will include fund and donor development, media relations and community outreach.

A familiar face in Sheboygan County, Rogstad has delivered very popular lectures and courses on Abraham Lincoln for the center over the past six years.

In his leisure time, Rogstad serves as chairman of the Racine Heritage Museum board of directors and as vice president of Preservation Racine, Inc.

He has taught Lincoln-related topics at numerous educational institutions, including Carroll College, University of Wisconsin- Parkside and the Kenosha Civil War Museum.

The Sheboygan County Historical Research Center (SCHRC) houses more than 1 million documents and 500,000 images, making it one of the largest private collections of local history in the State of Wisconsin. SCHRC specializes in the preservation and storage of written records of all Sheboygan County and the surrounding area. This nonprofit organization receives no public tax money, and has nurtured and grown this impressive collection for more than 30 years due to the generosity of members, donors and volunteers.
