HOWARDS GROVE.The Village Board tabled an amendment to the possession of drug paraphernalia ordinance Tuesday.

Village Clerk/Treasurer Jo Ann Lesser said that the ordinance needed to be amended to include adults found in the possession of drug paraphernalia as well as juveniles.

After discussion, trustees felt that the village attorney should review the wording, making sure that it was properly stated in the ordinance.

Village President James Scheiber reviewed the work in progress report.

FEMA mapping is 98 percent complete, however Scheiber would like to hear from the village attorney. There haven’t been any traffic issues by Northview School. Tax Incremental Finance District 2 hasn’t had any progress and the village is trying to work out an agreement with back taxes and a letter of credit.

The village is waiting for feedback from the village attorney on 502 College Ave. Ryan Welsing will provide some pictures. Prestige Builders ordinance enforcement has been completed.

Scheiber noted that the departments need better communication at times and that the contact list for emergencies should be updated.

Payments to JF Ahern in the amount of $85,269.50 for the Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade and to A. Chappa Construction in the amount of $72,851.05 for the Memorial Park concession stand/bathroom project were approved.

The contract for Schenk SC for auditing services for the 2017 fiscal year was approved.
