Lancers coast past Resorters in BEC play

MANITOWOC – The Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers poured in 12 three-point goals to key an 86-43 rout over the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters in a Big East Conference boys basketball game here Tuesday night.

The Lancers upped their BEC record to 8-1 (12-2 overall). The Lancers are tied for second in the league with Sheboygan Lutheran (8-1). Howards Grove holds the lead at 9-0.

The Resorters fell to 1-8 in the BEC (3-10 overall).

Sophomore Trey Zastrow spearheaded a balanced Lancer attack with 23 points, including five three-pointers. The Lancers were an excellent 12-for-24 from three-point range.

Senior forward Caleb Broaddus led Elkhart in scoring with 16 and senior guard Noah Ruh hit 14.

Danter Miller paced Elkhart in assists with three. Ruh and Justin Schultz had a team-high two steals each. Broaddus led in rebounds with four.
