Eagles coast past EL-G with strong first half

The Eagles’ Brett Steenwyk looks on. – Photo by Mike McGill ELKHART LAKE – The Sheboygan Christian Eagles outscored Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 29-9 in the first half to fuel a 67-38 rout in a Big East Conference boys basketball game here Friday night.

The Eagles improved to 2-8 in BEC play (3-11 overall). The Resorters dropped to 1-9 in the conference (3-11 overall). The loss was Elkhart’s fourth straight.

Senior guard Will Balint sparked the Eagles’ balanced attack with 20 points and Joe Lemmenes tallied 12.
