Balanced attack helps key Resorters’ win

The Resorters had three players who scored in double figures. Elkhart was 13-for-17 at the foul line in the second half, led by Ellie Ausloos who was 7 of 8 and Avery Feldmann, 5 of 6. For the game, Elkhart outscored the Oaks 16-6 at the charity stripe.

“A nice win versus a quality opponent in Oakfield. They have some very talented players that cause match-up problems. We had good team balance in scoring,” said Resorter head coach Donny Kulow.

The Resorters improved to 4-12 while the Oaks slipped to 7-8.

Ausloos led Elkhart in scor- ing with 11 points, followed by Feldmann and Kianna Bahr with 10 each.

“Kianna also played a big role with 10 points and 10 rebounds.”

Feldmann and Bahr shared the team lead in steals. Aryka Klemme contributed three steals. Bahr led in rebounds with 10.

Ausloos and Maddie Schneider shared the lead in assists with Feldmann.

Brianna Sabel was the Oaks’ top scorer with 21. (3-12 overall).

Cedar Grove had four players who scored in double fig- ures.

Caleb Broaddus paced Elkhart in scoring with 14, followed by Justin Schultz with 12 and Dante Miller 11. Broaddus tallied a team-high 11 points in the second half.

The Rockets outscored Elkhart 13-4 at the free-throw line.
