Chilton/Hilbert took first with 236.5 and Sheboygan Falls was second with 199.

Placing third for the Resorters were Cody Rebedew at 126, Troy Rebedew, 170 and Finn Shields at 195. Elkhart’s other place-winners, all fourth, were Jeremiah Bahr at 113; Cody Nelson, 138; Yoshi Sesoko, 152; Ben Meiselwitz, 160; and Josh Schorer at 182.

Troy Rebedew and Shields lost wrestle-back matches for second place.

“I am happy for our four qualifiers. We were hoping to finish higher as a team but had some bad luck during the day,” said Resorter head coach Larry Ward.

“Unfortunately, Troy Rebedew was injured in the semis. Troy gutted it out to get a pin in the semis but lost a one-point decision in the finals and lost in the wrestle-back. You never like to see one’s wrestling season, let alone a senior’s season, come to an end due to an injury.”

Troy Rebedew, battling an injury, lost the first-place match to Cedar Grove’s Ben Anzia, 7-6. In the wrestle-back for second, Rebedew was pinned by Kaiden Mikalowsky of Chilton/Hilbert.
