Opioid epidemic focus of session

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering a new Community Conversation on the Opioid Epidemic, as well as a new class called Goat Milk & Herbal Soap Making.

The following classes will be held at Plymouth High School, 125 Highland Ave.:

· Community Conversation - The Opioid Epidemic: Learn from Aurora Health Care about the factors that led to the opioid problem, how to recognize signs of opioid and prescription drug abuse, and explore simple ways for community members to get involved in prevention efforts. Participants will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7; there is no fee, but you must pre-register by Monday, March 5.

· From the Garden - Goat Milk & Herbal Soap Making: Participants will learn the basics and then dive into a hands-on experience of making soap, into which they will incorporate whole herbs and goat milk. Participants will go home with soap made in class, along with instructions and recipes for making soap at home. Class will meet with instructor Linda Conroy, owner of Moonwise Herbs, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday March 8; until Feb. 23 the fee is $36 (then $46), which includes all supplies.
