Balanced attack keys Resorters’ victory

ELKHART LAKE – A balanced offense and solid defense lifted the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters over Mishicot, 60-57, in round three of the Big East Conference Boys Basketball Tournament Silver Division here Saturday night.

The Resorters finished 1-2 in the tourney. They upped their season record to 4-17. The Indians ended the regular season 1-21.

Senior forward Caleb Broaddus keyed Elkhart’s attack with 18 points, followed by Dante Miller with 14. Four Resorters scored in double figures.

Broaddus also ripped down a team-high 11 rebounds. Miller and Noah Ruh led in assists with five each. Kyle Lutzke and Miller had a team-high two steals apiece.

“I thought we stepped it up, defensively, and we were patient on

_ _ the offensive end,” said Resorter head coach Leroy Hamilton.

Nathan Driscoll paced the Indians in scoring with 20.

Elkhart’s nonconference game at Laconia (Rosendale) was postponed Monday and was rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 21.
