Hospital lifts visitor limits

Visitor restrictions at Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) - Eastern Wisconsin Division hospitals that were issued as a response to an increase of flu activity in the region have now been lifted.

On Feb. 8, 2018, the following visitor restrictions were enacted in an effort to prevent the spread of flu and keep our patients safe and healthy. These restrictions are no longer in place:

• No visitors under the age of 12 in inpatient areas

• No visitors of any age with flu-like symptoms including fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, fever, vomiting or diarrhea

• Try to limit the number of healthy visitors to 1 or 2 people per patient

HSHS - Eastern Wisconsin Division hospitals are still seeing influenza cases, but the influenza activity has signifi- cantly decreased.

• It is not too late to get a flu shot

• Washing your hands frequently is one of the best ways to avoid the flu

HSHS - Eastern Wisconsin Division is comprised of HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay; HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan; and HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls.
