Brown sparks Millhome to semifinal win

PLYMOUTH – Jamale Brown pumped in 27 points and Tyler Eddie hit 25 to propel Millhome Supper Club past Type 4 Landscaping, 66-55, in an Upper Division semifinal game in the Plymouth Men’s Basketball League playoffs Wednesday night.

George Hawkins tallied 19 points to lead Type 4, followed by Steve Strong with 14.

In the other Upper Division semifinal contest, AIM Insurance Group defeated Masters Gallery, 64-54. Travis Streblow keyed AIM’s attack with 18 points and Andrew Harder scored 14. Dane Blake and Kyle Nothem paced Masters with 14 and 12, respectively.

In the Lower Division semifinals, Plymouth Plumbing & Heating downed Mike Burkart Ford, 54-44, and TM Carpentry/All-Around Services routed Video Center, 70-48.

Brad Feick’s 16 points sparked Plymouth Plumbing’s offense and Mike Jones contributed 12. Burkart’s top scorers were Mike Kolar with 12 and Paul Burgard with seven.

Justin Wilterdink scored 18 and Mike Westerbeke added 12 to fuel TM Carpentry’s attack. Nick Polster’s 10 points led Video, followed by Brandon Schmahl with nine.

The championship games in both divisions are scheduled for Wednesday, March 7 at Riverview Middle School’s Jim Urness gym. Plymouth Plumbing will face TM Carpentry in the Lower Division finals at 6:15 p.m., followed by Millhome versus AIM in the Upper Division finals at 7:15 p.m.
