Irish music show returns to PAC

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend at the Plymouth Arts Center Friday and Saturday, March 16-17.

Shake off those winter blues and anticipate spring with all things green while enjoying “Shamrocks & Shenanigans,” an Irish music show.

Plymouth own’s Irish Lass, Mary Calvey, is the director of this ever-popular show which has become an annual Irish musical tradition at the PAC.

Now celebrating 13 consecutive years, this fun show focuses on a wide selection of Irish melodies, including lovely ballads and pub songs and a wee bit o’ laughter thrown in. You don’t have to be Irish to appreciate this show.

Bring your friends and family members and listen to your favorite Irish songs. Laugh at good Irish jokes. Enjoy some Irish beer at the cash bar. Receive a complimentary treat.

This year’s talented cast includes: Mary Calvey (Plymouth), director, on vocals and bodhran; Steve Vogt (Grafton) on Irish tenor banjo, guitar, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and vocals; Laura Kaat (Oostburg) on tin whistle, fiddle and vocals; Roger Cass (Cedarburg) on guitar and vocals; Bill Rathman (Elkhart Lake) on string bass; JoAnne Friedman (Cascade) on guitar and vocals; Jane Van Maaren (Gibbsville) on fiddle; and Kristia Wildflower (Plymouth), jokester and storyteller.
