All-star hoops at UW-S Sunday

UW-Sheboygan will host Wisconsin Collegiate Conference men’s and women’s basketball all-star events Sunday. The women’s all-star game will be held at 12 p.m., followed by the men’s all-star contest at approximately 2 p.m. UW-Sheboygan’s Alex Antonie will play for the East Division men’s squad which will face the West Division. Antonie is a sophomore forward from Sheboygan Falls. UW-Washington men’s head coach Steve Murphy from Plymouth and his staff will coach the East Division squad. Murphy is a former head girls basketball coach at Plymouth High School. Other events scheduled include: regional 3-on-3 challenge at 9 a.m.; women’s hot shots contest, 9:30 a.m.; men’s three-point contest, 10 a.m.; women’s three-point contest, 10:30 a.m.; and the men’s dunk contest at 11 a.m.

Middle school track offered

Plymouth-area boys and girls in grades seven and eight are invited to participate in extracurricular track this spring. An informational meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 15 in the cafeteria at the Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Circle, in Plymouth. Practices will begin April 4 and run from 3- 4:30 p.m. school days at Riverview and Plymouth High School. Meets take place in April and May. Middle-school athletics, which are open to all area students whether they attend public or parochial school or are homeschooled, are coordinated by Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation. The cost of each sport is $20.
