Tending for a cause

SwitchGear Brewing Company in Elkhart Lake hosted a Celebrity Beer-Tending event in February as a fundraiser for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Sheboygan County, featuring employees from National Exchange Bank & Trust in Elkhart Lake. The event raised $1,050 for the Walk. Taking part in the check presentation were (left to right) Erica Gollhardt, Walk to End Alzheimer’s co-chair; Ryan Feldmann, SwitchGear owner, Linda and Nick Kullmann, SwitchGear owners; Lisa Hurley, Walk to End Alzheimer’s co-chair; Sally Harvey and Robin Royer, National Exchange Bank & Trust employees; Mark and Lori Grasse, SwitchGear owners; and Rebecca Broder and Mary Richter, National Exchange Bank & Trust employees. Not pictured is Corynn Feldmann, SwitchGear owner. “We are pleased the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Sheboygan County was selected to receive the funds as there are more than 2,300 people who are living in Sheboygan County with Alzheimer’s disease,” stated Hurley. The money raised will be utilized by the Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter to fund research and provide care and support services to those living with the disease and their families. The 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Sheboygan County will be held Saturday, Sept. 29 at Evergreen Park in Sheboygan. Any group or organization interested in hosting a fundraising event leading up to the Walk, sponsorship opportunities or forming a team, call Hurley, Walk co-chair, at (920) 467-4079.
