A vote of confidence for Meyer

To the Editor:

I encourage you to join me in voting to re-elect Mayor Randy Meyer.

Randy understands the importance of economic development throughout our city. He played a key role in the cooperative effort to restore rail service to Bemis, substantially lowering the cost of delivery of raw materials, helping my employer remain competitive.

Randy prudently waited until there were sufficient funds in Tax Increment District 3 to pay for roads and infrastructure in Vision Business Park.

Not much construction was happening during the long recession, but Vision Park is positioned perfectly for new construction starting today.

Randy worked hard to convince the state to install a round-about on Highway 32 and Happy Lane, and then worked with his current city team to start a new Tax Increment District in that area.

He led the way in bringing Kwik Trip and other economic development, along with a new subdivision starting this year.

I am a member of the Chamber’s economic development committee. At Mayor Meyer’s request, we meet monthly with Randy and City Administrator Shad Tenpas to discuss the Sheboygan Falls economy.

Based on what I know from these meetings, I am extremely confident Randy, Shad and the rest of the city team will have more good economic news coming soon.
