PHS improves at track invite

OSHKOSH – The Plymouth Panthers showed good improvement at the Oshkosh Invitational Girls Large School indoor track meet March 26 at UW-Oshkosh’s Kolf Center.

“We did very well in this meet. Although we did not score any points, we had almost 100 percent of our athletes hit PRs [personal records] in their events,” said Panther head coach Jay Grosshuesch.

“The competition was strong, so it was good to see our athletes respond to this challenge and perform well. We look forward to this strong performance in our last indoor meet to propel us into our outdoor season in two weeks.”

The top finisher for PHS was junior Tanya Gilbertson who took 10th in the shot put with a 31-4 distance.

Kimberly won the meet with 75 points.

The PHS boys and girls open their outdoor season Tuesday with a quadrangular at Campbellsport.
