Panthers fourth in ECC mini-meet

ELKHART LAKE – The Plymouth Panthers finished a disappointing fourth in Monday’s East Central Conference boys golf mini-meet at their home course at the Quit Qui Oc Golf Club.

PHS shot 171 on the front nine – 12 strokes behind first place Kewaskum (159) which has won the first two ECC mini meets this season. Waupun took second with 162 and Kettle Moraine Lutheran (Jackson) was third at 164.

Plymouth, the defending overall ECC champion, placed second in the league opener last week.

Charlie Aschenbach paced PHS with a 5-over-par 40 which tied him for sixth. The Panthers’ other low golfers were Johno Aschenbach with a 42, Cade Knaus, 44 and Josh Klister, 45.

Jacob Schlosser of Kewaskum and Solomon Zarling of KML shared medalist honors with even-par 35s. Berlin’s Steven Kilka took third with a 37.
