Falls’ Widder guides Iowa St. crops team to first-place finish

Elizabeth Widder of Sheboygan Falls helped the Iowa State University crops team place first at the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA Judging Contest held at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Neb. on April 21.

Individual placings of Iowa State agronomy students as well as the group team judging scores contributed to the top finish for the fifth time in the last six years.

As an individual, Elizabeth placed third in the contest.

The contest is divided into agronomic quiz, math practical, lab practical, and plant and seed identification.
