‘Mindful Tri’ series offered

A new Mindful Tri series aims to celebrate survivors and help others live a holistic lifestyle through three “Tri” stations.

Launched by Aurora Health Care Foundation, the eight Mindful Tri events occur throughout the first four weeks of June with an aim to bring participants from southeastern Wisconsin together to support the larger cause in the fight against cancer.

Sheboygan’s event will take place on Saturday, June 9th at Firehouse Park from 8:00-11:00 a.m.

Mindful Tri is a holistic, walk-style event in a triathlon format.

Phase 1: Stretch with yoga or tai chi

Phase 2: Take a mindful and empowering walk

Phase 3: Relax with aromatherapy, massage or other mindful techniques

While there is no registration fee for the Mindful Tri events, fundraising and team participation is encouraged. Donors get a choice on where they would like investment to make an impact:

Aurora Cancer Care-Sheboygan – The Sheboygan Cancer Clinic is raising dollars to enhance their newly developed cancer exercise class.

Cancer Research – Funding will support new, innovative research projects that are improving quality of life and restoring a sense of wellness in people with cancer.

Integrative Medicine – Implementing holistic approaches such as acupuncture and aromatherapy within clinics to reduce stress, pain and nausea associated with cancer treatment.
