Resorters’ attack stymied in BEC loss

The Indians raised their first place BEC record to 8-0 (16-1 overall). Mishicot was ranked No. 4 in the Wisconsin Fast- Pitch Softball Coaches Association Division 4 poll last week.

The Resorters dropped to 5-3 in the BEC (7-5 overall).

Junk allowed one earned run and five walks to go with six strikeouts. The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Mishicot banged out 13 hits, led by Kally Krueger with three. Karly Ayotte, Kourtney LeRoy and Madelyn Dokey had two each. Ayotte, Kora Tesarik and Krueger had a team-high three RBIs each.

The Resorters’ other hits were a double by Ciara Hassinger and a single by Megan Waage.

Waage was the losing pitcher. She gave up four earned runs and two walks while striking out one in five innings. Three Elkhart errors helped Mishicot score 10 unearned runs.
