Hiller had a perfect game until Maddie Schneider singled with one out in the top of the seventh. Hiller fanned the next two batters to end the game. Hiller, the Big East Conference Player of the Year last season, finished the game with 13 strikeouts and zero walks.

The Rams upped their BECleading record to 8-0 (13-1 overall). The defending BEC champions are ranked No. 3 in the Wisconsin Softball Coaches Association Division 3 poll.

The Resorters dropped to 6-4 in the league (9-6 overall). Tuesday’s game was a Pink Heels game in which both teams wore pink to support cancer awareness and the fight against cancer in Sheboygan County.

Hiller had a team-high three hits, including a double.

“Hiller is phenomenal. She kept us off balance with her change-up and pitches up in the zone. She had good velocity,” said Resorter head coach Brian Feldmann.

“Defensively, we were good. Megan Waage was stellar [pitching]. She kept us in the game. Her rise ball was really on.”

Waage took the loss and threw a complete game. She allowed two earned runs on 10 hits with no walks and four strikeouts.
