Taylor Park reservations open

Taylor Park, a hidden hilltop gem, is a six-acre county-owned park located in the city of Sheboygan between the Sheboygan County Historical Museum and Veteran’s Memorial. Access is gained via the driveway serving the County Historical Society Museum on Erie Avenue.

The new shelter is 1,380 sq. ft., ADA accessible, fully equipped with a sink, refrigerator, outlets and six picnic tables for family gatherings. It has a rollup garage door on three sides and is designed to be open air, or provide wind or rain blockage. Restrooms will be open daily. It is located closer to the parking lot to improve handicap accessibility and visibility of the playground.

Other Taylor Park features include a gazebo, playground area and equipment, grills and picnic tables. It offers significant nature and scenic viewing, as well as playground opportunities and access to the multi-seasonal, multi-use trail, the Urban Recreation Trail (U.R.T.).

Reservations for 2018 will be accepted by calling the Sheboygan County Clerk’s Office at (920) 459-3003.
