The Crusaders upped their BEC record to 2-4 (2-4 overall). The Resorters dropped to 0-6 in the conference (0-6 overall).

Elkhart trailed 2-0 going into the top of the seventh. Fresh- man Patrick Ward’s RBI single pulled the Resorters to within 2-1. Ward was left stranded at second base which ended the game.

Resorter head coach Davin Hill was very pleased with his two pitchers – Ransom Yasko and Max Ward – who combined for a two-hitter.

“Ransom Yasko and Max Ward both pitched great on Wednesday. They both kept pitch counts low and threw a high percentage of strikes. This allowed the defense to stay focused and make plays,” said Hill.

Taylor Cain led Elkhart in hits with two. The Resorters had five hits.
