RAE-ELLEN WEBERRAE-ELLEN WEBERYou may recognize the face, but do you really know who she is?

This woman has been around the Sheboygan Falls School District for a very long time, but now she just feels it’s the right time to retire.

This recognizable face belongs to Rae-Ellen Weber, administrative assistant in the counseling office at the Sheboygan Falls High School.

She has held that position since 2005. Prior to that, she served as a clerical aide at Sheboygan Falls Middle School from 1996 to 2005.

Weber was also a substitute teacher in various areas throughout the Sheboygan Falls School District prior to 1996.

“I’m retiring because I feel it’s time,” said Weber. “I want to do other things with my life, such as sleep later, travel and dance more. My husband is also retiring and it’s time for me too.

“I always enjoyed my job because it was always interesting with the students in both jobs,” she said. “I used to do study hall and I came to the counseling office, for all different reasons. I’ve always tried to be helpful just as someone in the office should be.”

Weber is hoping to find new activities to fill her daily schedule.

“I’m happy to retire, but I’ve really enjoyed the staff, the students and the parents that I’ve come to know and be in contact with,” said Weber. “I will miss this, but I’m hoping to fill my life with other things, including a vacation we have planned in September.”
