Meadowlark Road closed for bridge replacement

Meadowlark Road between State 23 and County C in the town of Sheboygan Falls will be closed through Sept. 10, the Sheboygan County Highway Department has announced.

The department is constructing a 123-foot long two span bridge over the Sheboygan River on Meadowlark Road.

The bridge will be 26-feet wide and will have steel railings. Guard rails will be added to all four corners of the bridge.

The approach roadway will be reconstructed and widened from the current 20-foot pavement with one-foot shoulders to a 20-foot pavement with four-foot shoulders from 85 feet south of the bridge to 45 feet north of the bridge. Additional grading will be done beyond these points to accommodate the guardrail.

All work is weather dependent. Motorists are advised to use caution and remain alert when driving through any work zone.
