All-star hoops team to practice in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH – The Division 2 boys basketball South all-star team, coached by former Plymouth High School head coach Scott Richards, will practice Tuesday, June 15 at the Riverview Middle School gym in Plymouth.

The practice, which is open to the public, will start at 5:30 p.m. As part of the practice, the all-stars will scrimmage against a team consisting of former PHS players, including members of the Panthers’ 2008 state tournament squad.

The South team will face the North all-stars Saturday at the UW-Madison Field House at 9 a.m.as part of the Wisconsin Basketball Association’s all-star series. The South roster includes state’s Mr. Basketball, T.J. Bray. The North has Kiel’s Brandon Gries and Waupun’s Austin Armga.

Anyone interested in complimentary tickets should contact Scott Richards at 893-5798. All proceeds from the all-star game go to the MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) Fund.
