Warner powers Forest past Riverdogs

Forest broke the game open when Warner smacked a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning which gave his team an 8-3 lead. The ACs added four runs in the seventh, keyed by Warner’s three-run double, and two in the eighth to go up 14-4 which ended the game via the 10-run rule.

The Riverdogs dropped to 1-2 in the second half of the league race (7-4 overall in the league and for the season). Forest improved to 3-0 in the second half (7-4 overall for the season).

Forest pounded out 13 hits, led by Warner with three.

Cole Reinemann paced HG in hits with three, including an RBI single.

Jonah Krug earned a complete game victory. Krug allowed seven hits and seven walks to go with four strikeouts.

Brad Olson, the Riverdogs’ starting hurler, took the loss. Olson gave up seven runs (six earned) on seven hits with three walks and two strikeouts in five innings.
