Large scale portraits in UW-S exhibition

The University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan Fine Arts Gallery invites the community to visit the campus for the latest Fine Arts Gallery art exhibition, “Artwork by Kimberly Nysee.”

A special artist reception is planned for Friday, Aug. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. The show runs through Aug. 31.

Kimberly Nysse is a large-scale portrait artist with a background in costume design for the theatre from Viterbo University.

She uses bold colors and oversized canvases to evoke strong reaction and deep emotion, usually as self-portraiture.

She is currently an Art Studio student at Silver Lake College, and an active member of Sheboygan Visual Artists.

The Fine Arts Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
