Four players score for PHS

Clayton Lautenschlaeger finished with two goals Tuesday to lead the Plymouth soccer team to a 5-1 victory over visiting Ripon.

Ian Thiesenhusen, Joel Williams and Keegan Gafney also scored for the Panthers, who improved to 3-1-1.

“It was a game played in the air in our attacking third,” Plymouth coach John Lenz said. “We had so many opportunities from crosses and corners, but could not make it click.

“Finally, Joel Williams sends in a beautiful corner from the right side of the pitch, and Clayton makes a late run far post and smashes the ball into the back of the net off a great header. It was a picture-perfect goal.”

Plymouth is 3-0-1 in its last four games thanks to a total of 16 goals.

The Panthers hosted Nicolet on Thursday.
