Host Wisconsin Heights scored four times in the second half en route to a 28-14 victory that put the Resorters at 2-2.

“The (penalties) seemed a little ticky-tacky,” Resorters’ coach Josh Bardon said. “But we can’t hold or block in the back.

“And it seemed like every time we had a big play, it got called back for something. We had a number of longer plays, 15-, 20-, 30-yard plays that got negated. Even one that was at the 1-yard line. And we did not score on that drive.”

ELG got a 2-yard touchdown run from Raistlin Lopez-Lloyd to get within 14-8 with just over 1 minute left in the third quarter.

“We marched the entire field,” Bardon said. “It was a nice 4, 5 yards at a crack. The whole drive there were a couple of nice passes, a couple of nice runs. We had one really nice drive.”

But Wisconsin Heights improved to 3-1 by scoring twice in the first 9 minutes of the final quarter.

“That made it tough,” Bardon said.

The final highlight for the Resorts was when Yoshi Sesoko scored on a 16-yard touchdown run with just 36 left.

“It was a great run,” Bardon said. “He got hit like three times and broke a couple of tackles.”
