Popular children’s author Avi to speak at UW-S Oct. 17

Area residents and reading enthusiasts are invited to University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan on Sunday, Oct. 17, to hear critically acclaimed children’s author, Avi, speak from 7-8 p.m. in the UW-Sheboygan Fine Arts Theater.

Avi, who is the author of 70 children’s books and the winner of the Newberry Medal, the Newberry Honor and the 2009 Beacon of Freedom Award, will discuss the writing process, the world of children’s literature and publishing and much more.

This special event is sponsored by the UW-Sheboygan English Club and is part of the upcoming Sheboygan Children’s Book Festival weekend Oct. 15-17.
