Eva H. Huibregtse’s long life of 100 years came to a close Tuesday evening, Oct. 12, 2010, at Woodland Manor in Sheboygan Falls, where she had been a resident the past six years.

She was born June 6, 1910 in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late, William and Johanna (Crass) Eisentraut. She grew up in Waubeka and attended schools in Ozaukee County.

On April 7, 1934 she married George Huibregtse. They resided many years at Long Lake in Fond Du Lac County before moving to Plymouth in 1964.

They operated and owned several cheese factories, where Eva did much of the bookkeeping from 1934 until retiring in 1973.

As a young woman, she attended all local dances and enjoyed playing piano and the organ. Eva was also great lover of all animals, especially dogs and cats, but also wild animals including squirrels, birds and deer that she faithfully fed.

Eva partnered with her husband on innumerable fishing and hunting excursions through the years. Her husband preceded her in death in November of 1994.

Eva’s retirement years were spent fishing and traveling and included winters at Panama City beach in Florida.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Carol Bournoville and her husband Richard of Plymouth; her son Wayne and his wife Pauline of Oostburg; four grandchildren, Deborah Schneider and her fiance John Halbach, Christina Boelke and her husband Mark, Susan Ziebelman and Mark Huibregtse and his wife Becky; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgranddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her brother Leonard. Eva will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her, especially her family. “We will see you again one day”. Eva always loved people and loved helping others. She continues to do so even in death through donating her body to science.

A private family memorial service will be held later.

The Schneider Funeral Home & Life Tributes is assisting her family. On line condolences may be sent to www.schneider lifetributes.com.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Woodland Manor and Advantage Hospice for the care given their mother.
