Manz wins County Trapshoot title

KIEL – Bruce Manz of Sheboygan was crowned the 16-yard County Champion in the 2010 Sheboygan County Trapshooting Championships this past summer at the Hermitage Conservation Club.

Manz defeated Dirk Huibregtse of Sheboygan Falls in a shoot-off after they tied in regulation with scores of 100-for-100. Huibregtse earned the Class AA title.

Bob Kroeplien of Falls was the Class AA Runner-up as he hit 99 of 100 targets.

Bill Lorenz of Sheboygan earned the High Overall and Doubles titles. Lorenz hit 49 of 50 in the doubles event and was 95-for-100 in singles for a total of 144-for-150. Gary Gerhartz, Sheboygan, was the Doubles Runner-up with 45 of 50.

The High Lady was Kristine Messner with 96 of 100. Josh Stauber won the High Junior crown with 93 of 100.

Jeff Hansen was the nonresident champion with a score of 98 of 100.

Mike and Josh Stauber captured the Parent/Child (minor) title with a combined 186-for-200. Bob, Greg and Scott Kroeplien of Falls won the Parent/Child (nonminor) championship with 196-for-200.

The other top finishers included: Ralph Bruggink, Class A champion; Joe Jackett. Class A runner-up; Kelsey Lorenz, Class B champion; Gerard Gilsdorf, Class B runner-up; Roger Wegner, Class C champion; Ron Keefo, Class C runner-up; Mike Becker, Class D champion; and Zack Klabachek, Class D runner-up.
